Watters Creek in Allen, Texas

If you haven't made a journey to the new Watters Creek retail/commercial/residential development in Allen, you must do so. This new development at 75 (Central Expressway) and Bethany is outstanding and probably one of the nicest class A developments in the Collin County area. I would say that it rivals, if not surpasses The Shops at Legacy. We dined at Brio, an Italian restaurant, which was excellent. Other restaurants include The Cheesecake Factory, Mi Cocina, PF Changs as well as others to open soon. The development surrounds a creek with beautiful landscaping, bridges, sculptors, and probably the largest outdoor fireplace I have ever seen. You can learn more at the developers website.

It is OK but not sure if you can compare it to Legacy or downtown McKinney?

It is tiny and has shops that very few people can afford or would want to. It reminds me of overhyoed centers in frisco with little to offer

No comparison, I agree, but it is unique and very nice surroundings just to visit, if not to buy something.

Brio was outstanding -- very nice. Not sure how shops like Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Starbucks, Borders, etc. are unaffordable but we really enjoyed our time at Watters Creek.

Bath and Body works, Starbucks, borders are not shops but all the rest that you did not mention are the very expensive ones. I mean to your list, I guess we could add Market street. The above stores are in every corner or Mall, and no one would or should drive from McKinney to Allen for those.

Anyway for a nice dinner just take 5 minute drive to downtown McKinney and in my opinion top 5 unique restaurants in DFW Metropolitans are right here. Goodhues and rick’s Chophouse (expensive but very nice) Cafe Malaga, La Misha, and Spoons cafĂ©.
