McKinney falls to third in rank of fastest-growing cities in U.S

Around McKinney, Jan Richburg hasn't noticed a change in the number of "SOLD" signs in front of homes or new people around town. "It seems to be the same to me," said Ms. Richburg, president of the McKinney Area Newcomers Club. "We still get two or three or four new members every month." Not much of a surprise when your city's among the fastest-growing in America. Statistics released today by the U.S. Census Bureau show McKinney's percentage growth ranked third in the country among large cities, down one spot from the town's national rank a year ago. That echoes the big picture for North Texas overall: Growth has slowed somewhat, but still is keeping pace with the rest of the nation. Full story..........
