McKinney-based Independent Bank celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at the acclaimed Adriatica development on Tuesday. A ribbon cutting by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce along with a substantial contribution to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County highlighted the evening. Hors d’oeuvres were served by CafĂ© Malaga, entertainment was provided by Annette Bajema (a sophomore harpist at McKinney Christian Academy) and door prizes were awarded.

The 5,228 square foot Croatian-inspired building is located near the corner of Virginia Parkway and Stonebridge Drive next to Starbucks. The newest addition to the distinctive Adriatica development, this beautiful, smooth-cut Lueders Limestone building is complimented by Granbury Short Chop, cut-stone details such as arches, window and door surrounds and a Mediterranean clay tile roof. As a result, Independent Bank provides a stately addition to this unique and expanding West McKinney business community. The high-profile building includes a large open lobby, traditional teller stations and six private banking offices, along with a conference room, a break area, work rooms and drive-through teller and ATM stations.

Dan Brooks, President of Independent Bank said, “Management and shareholders of Independent Bank believe strongly in the developing North Texas region and in supporting the communities we serve. This includes management and employees being involved in various organizations in the area, meeting the financial needs of the community’s residents and proactively financing local businesses to promote a growing, vibrant economy. As a rapidly expanding financial institution, having doubled the number of our banking locations throughout North Texas in recent years, it makes sense for us to continue to expand in McKinney, one of the fastest growing communities in the nation.”

General Contractor Piazza Construction oversaw this project in conjunction with the expertise of Jim Wilson and Kobey Seale of Jim Wilson Architects. Jim Wilson Architects is a McKinney-based full-service architectural firm with a talented, diversified staff and portfolio of more than 250 projects. Whether a bank or technology center, library or fire station, every structure is built on a foundation of global vision and small town values.

The common business philosophy of innovation combined with an unwavering commitment to the residents and businesses of McKinney has fostered a partnership between Independent Bank and Jim Wilson Architects which extends beyond the project. This was evident as they jointly presented the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County a check in the amount of $5,000 in celebration of the grand opening. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County are dedicated to providing the positive place for kids and effectively serve the needs of nearly 4,000 children throughout the region!
