Blurb from the City of McKinney website (Business Parks)

Adriatica

Adriatica at Stonebridge Ranch not only will take you back in time architecturally, but also to a setting where people will be able to get together in a neighborly way – walking short distances to convenient amenities, rather than needing to drive across town… seeing people beyond the time it takes most urban dwellers to drive past and enter a garage.

While the village is conveniently located near many popular Metroplex employment centers, some residents may find it alluring to set up shop within a few minutes stroll of home. That’s part of the attraction of Adriatica.

While the architectural nature of Supetar serves as the visible model for Adriatica, the social and economical mechanisms of the Croatian village which led to the development of the old city plays a role in the creation of Adriatica at Stonebridge Ranch. The harbor was the anchor of the village, providing livelihood, a place to congregate and a focal point for enjoyment. The coming together of its people in community gave them strength. Such will be the cornerstone of the new village.

Replication of buildings and features of design could be the ending point for some communities. For Adriatica, it is just the beginning. Master designer Jeffory Blackard sums it up nicely. “I want the village to be full of life.”
